Green News!
We collected 42 bags of clothes for recycling. As a result of this, we are getting a clothes bank in our school yard so whenever we have clothes to recycle, we can just bring them to school!
We are looking forward to a visit from the Green Schools people on Thursday 30th April to see if we deserve our first ever Green Flag.

"WEEly Interesting!"
WEE visited us to give a talk about the recycling work they do. We learned that if it plugs in or takes batteries it can be recycled! This inspired us to make some posters to display around the school. We have a big blue bin to take recyclable materials at the school and as a reward we are getting a recycled computer!

Green News!
The WEEE will be visiting the school on Wednesday 19th November to give a talk to senior classes about their work. They will also be providing a bin for small electrical appliances at the school on Thursday and Friday.
The Bin Buster Challenge started this week and already Ms Skehan's class of Junior Infants have gone into an early lead!
5th Class will be visited next week (Wednesday 26th) by an artist who will create art from recycled materials with them. We will post the results here!

Green Flag!
This year we are all putting in 100% effort into winning our first ever Green Flag Award. We are all doing our best to reduce the rubbish we produce in school, to recycle when we can and to reuse as much as possible. Emma and Ryan from 5th Class painted large Recycling Rangers for our Green Schools Noticeboard. They are really impressive!
